Sticky, Salty, Sweet, Spicy & Super Addictive
1 kg Chicken Wings
1/4 cup Corn Starch
1/4 cup Garlic Powder
1 Orange (Zest & Juiced)
1 Thumb knob of Ginger (Sliced)
2 Clove of Garlic (Crushed)
4 Star Anise
1 Cinnamon Stick
1/4 cup Soy Sauce
2 tablespoon of Sugar
2 tablespoon of Oil
Spicy Option – 2 tablespoon of Sriracha Sauce
- Mix corn starch and garlic powder in a bowl and coat chicken wings. Arrange coated chicken wings on a wire tray and bake for 20mins at 180 degrees or until golden brown.
- In a wok, heat oil at medium heat. Lightly brown garlic then add orange zest, sliced ginger, star anise and cinnamon stick. Cook until you build up a fragrant then add sugar, soy sauce, Sriracha and juice of orange. Simmer for 5 minutes or until slightly thick.
- Add baked chicken wings to wok and toss until wings are evenly coated with sauce. Serve with steam rice, diced cucumbers and tomatoes.
- Must eat with fingers!
